FAQ

Essential oils are derived from plant material grown organically without pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Organic essential oils even though they cost a little more.

The word pure here means the oil that comes from a single plant species. For instance, if you buy pure lavender oil, the manufacturer has distilled that oil only from lavender plants. However, if those plants are part of a crop heavily sprayed with insecticide, the oil derived from them may be contaminated with the pesticide. But, it’s still considered “pure.” Only oils that undergo rigorous testing should be able to make that claim, but that’s not the way it is.

Synthetic oils are made in the lab. Most fragrance oils are synthetic.

There, now you know the difference between fragrance oils and essential oils plus a bit more of the skincare product terminology. There are hundreds of terms related to cosmetics and skincare, but these will get you started. I’m a firm believer that an informed goddess can keep her family and herself safer and healthier.

Fore different grades of essential oils :

The first grade of essential oils is grade A oils. These are called therapeutic essential oils or pure-therapeutic oils. Steam distillation is used to obtain this type of oil. Fortunately, most grade A essential oils use organic or naturally grown food to complete this process. A.G. Industries is no different from its essential oil-making process.

Grade B essential oils are probably the most popular form of essential oil used and bought. These oils are marketed as a pure form of essential oil. However, it still contains harmful chemicals. It’s been reported grade B essential oils have traces of fertilizer, pesticide, or even synthetic extenders. Even though grade B oils are considered to be from food-related products, it’s highly recommended to not consume these essential oils.

Perfume essential oils are made in the same way as grade B oils are. This results in you settling various harmful chemicals in your body. Like food essential oils, perfume essential oils should not be consumed. Consuming this type of essential oil will leave a bad taste in your mouth and can cause major sickness. The main reason for this is because grade C essential oils use solvents as well as these other chemicals. The use of a solvent is to break down all other unwanted ingredients and leaving the prime one intact.

Floral water is the last type of essential oil, and it’s made from the distillation from grade A oils. The floral water is used to give your belongings a certain smell. For example, shampoos and conditioners use it the most frequently to give it a pleasurable fragrance. While these are essential oils they don’t have any true effect on your body. However, there are variations of this essential oil capable of causing negative side effects were they to be ingested.

If a product is listed as a cosmetic grade, it supposedly meets the Food and Drug Administration’s safety guidelines. The FDA does not review products for safety; it depends on the company’s manufacturing the products to do that. The FDA also doesn’t determine the validity of claims made by cosmetic companies as to the efficacy of their products.
