Historically, limes were used to prevent sailors from developing scurvy. This is a strong lemon essential oil. I love it and the price is also good. If used as a fragrance, it lasts more than 4 hrs which is good for citrus oils as they are smaller in size, making them more volatile and less lasting.

Love the way it smells! I accidentally bought a different brand and didn't smell half as good! Just wish it was available in a bigger bottle!!
