The organic almond oil is extracted from the fruit of PrunusamygdalusDulcis, a deciduous tree of the Rosaceae family, native to Central Asia, today mainly cultivated in the Mediterranean and California. The fruits of the almond tree look like a small green apricot and the best quality oil, which is extracted by cold pressing the kernels, is pale yellow. It has a delicate rather sweet smell and is rich in vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids.
Organic Almond Carrier Oil is an excellent emollient and is known for its ability to soften and re-condition the skin. It can be used to soothe dry skin and irritated areas.
