  • Apply body oil all over your body and massage it into your skin the day before Holi.
  • Apply sunscreen at least half an hour before going out in sun.
  • Apply a dark nail polish to your nails to protect them from colors.
  • Never use hot water since it will cause the color to solidify, and remember to remove any extra dry color from your face before washing it.

POST-HOLI TIPS

  • Apply coconut oil to your face before washing it. The oil melts the color off the skin and supports the cleanser in removing all of the additional color and dust.
  • To reduce itching, apply a combination of glycerin and rosewater to the skin.
  • Excessive washing of the face is not recommended. This will just make your face worse.
  • After Holi, avoid getting hair or skin treatments such as a facial, bleaching, or coloring your hair. You should wait at least one or two weeks before using any strong chemicals.
