The genus name Cyperus is from Cypeiros which was the ancient Greek name for the genus. Rotundus is Latin for round and refers to the tuber. It has even earned itself the nickname of "the world's worst weed".
Nagarmotha is a colonial plant exhibiting fibrous roots and usually grows to a height of 7-40 cm. They reproduce by giving out tubers, basal bulbs, rhizomes, and fibrous roots.

Very pleasant, fresh, and difficult to describe aroma oil, besides with multiple uses.
